   • 在香港，牙醫和醫生的頭銜都是Dr. (DOCTOR)耶! 一樣都是醫生

     • MD, DO, OD, DSS, PhD, JD, etc. These are all doctoral degrees and are called doctors, but what people usually call “doctors” are actually “medical doctors”, or people owning an MD (or DO). People with MD are referred to as physicians or surgeons, while people with DSS are referred to as dentists…

       • in some parts of canada, dentists own a DMD – doctor in dental medicine. distinguishes them from an actual MD, but still recognizes them as a “doctor”.

     • Professors in “Human Sexuality” or “Africana History” are called doctors (Dr.) but are not the MDs we called “doctors” in colloquial sense.
