若直接翻譯會是，“今年農曆年做些好笑的事情，說些好笑的事情。” Luke老師聼不明白也不奇怪。
正確説法應是 have you done anything interesting 或 where did you go for chinese new year，而不是什麽 do some funny thing.

His ” walaowei ” and ” kazua ” are correct but the accent is more like Msia or Thailand or Hong Kong or Philippines or whatever.
這位英文老師比較好，只是美國腔重了點顯得有點做作， 不會亂批評新加坡的英文。不想某位四十多歲的女師師，曾經在康熙來了批評新加坡的英文。死三八。

indeeed!!! singaporeans can, and always have been speaking proper english, just that sometimes we choose to do it imformally with our friends.
finally someone acknowledge on taiwan shows that singaporeans can switch between proper english and singlish. usually taiwanese just criticize singlish spreading the impression that all singaporeans only speak that way.

The way they imitate singlish is still funny though. The essence of singlish ish there but the accent quite off.

err, learning spanish and french for a few years is pretty common…….not a big deal. Really feel that there is no need for overexaggerations.
