1. It’s a singing competition. While it adds to the context, I’m really fed up with all the sob stories from contestants. It may be cruel, but it’s true. If your voice is good, then the audience will naturally want to know more about you.

   It’s probably not the contestant’s idea, more likely it’s the producer who wants to add drama and time, though.
