tired of all these sexual inequality talk. It is ridiculous that companies have to go out of their way to promote female managers just to “look” equal. I’m sorry but men are more effective than women in the business world the majority of the time. It’s not because women are less knowledgeable, but simply because the business environment to males. Dinners, drinking, tough negotiations with other men, etc are all situations where a man may be more favorable than a woman. Why are sports separated by sex? Because men and women are biologically different where men are favored in many sports. There is nothing women can do to change the fundamental differences between men and women. Men and women are not only biologically different, but socially constructed to fill different roles. Before women can call for the reconstruction of society, they have to be prepared to be treated equal in EVERY WAY, not just in ways that benefit them. Having men pay for everything is one perfect example. If women want to have the same financial benefits as men, they should bare the costs as well.

Undeniably men and women are biologically different, and there’s nothing to be done to change that. But when you talk about the ‘business world’ and all that drinking and socializing, is that part of biology? Or is that “business world” cultivated long ago by males? If it’s not biology, then why isn’t it up for a change? You talk about wanting women to pay for “everything,” but somehow they’re not supposed to be managers in the business world because they’re not built to drink and work through tough negotiations in order to earn money to pay for everything. You make a lot of sense.
Did you read the entire paragraph? Biological part was only related to sports and such. The business world, as I mentioned, is socially constructed to favor men. However, the professional field is slowly shifting toward a more equal balance. This is not enough to women though, they want COMPLETE equality in every aspect when men and women are NOT created equal. I didn’t mention ANYTHING about women needing to pay for everything, but simply bare an “equal” part in the costs of living. You’re saying until men are women are completely equal in managerial positions, women are JUSTIFIED to not pay the costs of equality. In other words, you are saying women are entitled to the benefits of sexual equality, but they don’t have pay the costs of it until they are satisfied – while men have to keep giving and giving (purposely handing more managerial positions to women even though subjectively they believe men are better for the jobs AND paying for living costs) UNTIL women decide “hey, this is enough, maybe i’ll bare the costs now.”
I really do think it is more of an individual’s different situation. There are also the exceptions that women might be better in some area of a business corporation than men. As long as it is selecting the best person for this job, it surely does not matter that much whether he/she is a man or a woman. It’s more of a traditional image that men are the dominant part of the business world, but there are gradual emerging changes. What I personally think, nowadays, the distinction between men and women really wasn’t that much at all. Women can do mostly what men does anyway and many men are now not the breadwinner of the family and society is accepting it, so the problem highlighted by the show is not really that severe…..(just personal opinion.)
