    • If they know you, especially if you’re a “good looking” girl, you can get in without a cover.  Even if you’re a random guy, it’s not expensive.  I’ve never paid cover, but I’ve gotten a 10-person table for $10,000 NT, so ~$30 per person.

  27. Fobs from Taiwan who call it pre-drink, too. When I went to London one summer, some people there called it pre-drink as well. I mean…pre-game and pre-drink…same thing.

    And lastly, I’m wondering how these students are able to play so hard? I know some of them mentioned they have class and all, but…don’t they have homework? I’ve been in college for so long and I’m always bombarded with major assignments…

        • You guys are ridiculous. I can respond in Chinese but it’ll take me a very long time since I don’t have typing software and have to rely on Google Translate. Writing English is faster, and a large number of people on Sugoi write in English as well anyways. Also, how does writing in English equate to trying to “show off” “extraordinary” linguistic skills? Lol…the mentality of some people on this website. Haha

    • Apparently, although school seems more stressful in most of East Asia for like Under 18 education, once they get to university, it is probably a lot less stressful then. Hence, there has been some news saying that students throw their book across after their big university entrance exams………so, ye, probably have allll that time to mess about and divert the pressure on to their livers and hearts instead.

    • Like Bjbl said, university in Taiwan is less stressful than in the West. In Taiwan, first year students are required to attend an average of 8-10 hours of classes per week. By their 3rd or 4th year they only have 2-3 hours of classes each week (they have already acquired most of the credits they need by their 3rd or 4th year, so they don’t have to attend as many classes by then). Most of the students on the show are already in their 3rd or 4th year, so they have a lot of free time to spare for part time jobs, leisure activities, etc.
